The Gideon Bible Society The bible is the authentic word of God, written by men by inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Gideon Bible Society is an evangelical Christian association that was formed/founded through the meeting of two travelling business men when they shared a hotel room at the central house hotel in boscobel, winscosin. The association which is called the Gideon Bible Society was founded in 1899 in janesville, winscosin, with the primary aim of distributing free copies of the scripture/bibles free of charge to people who could not afford bibles. This society started distributing bibles in 1908 and their headquarters was in Nashville Tennessee.
